Dr. Erick G. Martell, M.D. is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an expertise that encompasses a wide variety of Cosmetic and Reconstructive procedures. He is double board certified in Plastic Surgery and in General Surgery.  He is committed to helping each of his patients achieve their goals while providing them a safe and comfortable experience.

Dr. Martell is originally from Queens, New York and he obtained his Pharmacy Degree at the St. John’s University School of Pharmacy. He was commissioned through R.O.T.C. in the United States Army after graduation and then attended medical school at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C.  He then went on to complete a five-year General Surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI.  Upon completion, he then served as a General Surgeon in Europe and has served on various humanitarian and combat tours around the world during his career to include Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Indonesia, Angola, and Cambodia. He also decided to further his training and completed a second residency in plastic surgery at the University of Miami in Miami Florida, followed by a 6-month fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery in Manhattan, New York.  During this time, he participated in Cleft Lip and Palate missions in the Caribbean and as well as Asia. He also enjoyed Microvascular Breast and lower extremity reconstructions. Dr. Martell served in the United States Army for 21 years and retired as a Colonel. He earned numerous awards and citations including the Parachutist Badge, Army Commendation Medals, Meritorious Service Medals, Superior Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citations, and a Joint Meritorious Unit Citation.

Through all his years of training and service, Dr. Martell has received extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures on adult and pediatric patients. He has presented at numerous conferences and published papers in respected medical journals. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and maintains his certifications with the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He holds active medical licenses in Hawaii, New York, Virginia, and Alaska.
